Hello everyone.
This is Kimura-san, your indie-videogame-making Uncle.
As you know, I’m currently hard at work developing a new RPG.
Today, I’d like to talk a little about “Chu”. (Note: “chu” —「チュウ」— is the onomatopoeic Japanese slang for a kiss 💋)
I have to make a confession… For whatever reason, I really love to “chu”.
You still don’t see it very often in Japan, but in Western cultures, people will suddenly give you a “chu”, even right there out on the street!
A “chu” on the cheek! A “chu” straight on the lips!
Hugs and “chu”s, here and there and everywhere!
For me, in my younger days, it was an unbelievable sight.
“Wow, what? Seriously?”
These days, of course, the world is still in the midst of a pandemic, and it seems like we can’t just “chu” as casually as we used to… But…
Shaking hands, hugging, kissing, pillow talk,
long conversations, loving each other…
All of these are beautiful and wonderful things.
(By the way, the likelihood of that one “chu” game has risen from 1% to about 5%. Unfortunately, I can’t show you anything quite yet.)
